I walk into the sunset and the still quietness of creation
Peace abounds as if even the heavens have showered a covering of serenity over all things.
My heart and soul are enveloped in the spectacular beauty no human could ever create.
The land itself has calmed and cooled as the sun stops burning, sending perfect shining hues over landscape. Everything is still.
Peaceful beauty surrounds everyone and everything.
The sky is perfection — soft blue, pure white clouds, and a gentle breeze sharing its perfection.
I walk slowly, taking in each precious second, absorbing God’s pure handiwork. Soaking in His love and breathing in the cool, holy, untainted and innocent breath.
As the sun rests, so does the earth and all the creatures therein.
The calm is almost tangible. The quiet is unmistakable.
It’s as if a cloak of softness dropped down over creation because we needed the stillness and purity of the moment.
The colors of dusk are gentle, tender and honest.
Photographers seek out precise moments of dusk because the light is perfection. It isn’t bold or demanding — it is simply perfection that reveals the inborn beauty of creation itself.

I am not alone — I am walking in the presence of the God I love, filled with all He freely pours out.
I slowly walk into His very presence at this moment — unhurried.
I ramble along not wanting the moment to end, but knowing it will come again.
This I cherish — the fleeting, sacred moments of dusk.
The picture at the top is one I took from my house. Idaho has spectacular sunsets.
