Master Your Mind: Elevate Your Life to New Heights

LOOKING “UP” IS A MOTION AND AN ATTITUDE

Why did I choose the “Up” to go with ‘words?’

Oftentimes, we find ourselves living, thinking or performing at a lower level than we wanted.

It might be because of obstacles, lack of knowledge, outside circumstances or a lack of initiative on your part.

Sometimes, we simply settle — give up, and accept the status quo.

The word “Up” may not seem like a solution, but it is a start in the right direction.

“Up” means — to, toward, or in a more elevated position; an upward movement; ascent; a rise of fortune, mood, etc.; Source.

If you’re down, you have three choices:

  • 1. Continue to dig a deeper hole.
  • Stay where you are.
  • Reach and think ‘up.’ Stretch yourself toward a more elevated position — mentally, physically and emotionally.

The goal of “Up Words” is to provide you with reasons and ways to move upward in your thinking, life, decisions, outlook, and goals.

What can stop you? YOU! That’s it.

What can send you ‘up?’ YOU. That’s it.

When everything is boiled down to its simplest answer regarding life, we find one word — choices.

We choose who we want to be, how we want to live, whether we want to go up or down, what kind of person we are, our way of thinking, our perception, and our goals.

If you choose to go ‘Up,” you can.

If your decision is settled, you’ll start the process of change and learn to take control of the things you can control.

You can control your opinions, desires, aversions and actions.

You control living “Up” or down, and you control it through your choices.

“The key to control is not in controlling external events, but in controlling your own mind.” Epictetus

Controlling your mind will control your choices.

Controlling your choices will control your direction in life — “Up,” unmoving, or down.

  • One choice might be to get help.
  • Surround yourself with supportive, positive-minded people.
  • Talk to others who have gone through this process successfully.

Choose to persevere.

Don’t give away your chance to move your life upward.
